Using a dictionary find and write out the meanings of your spelling words. This activity is important for you when learning your words and building upon your vocabuary to use a wider variety of words in your writings.
Sentences
Write each of your words into a sentence of 10 or more words. If you are unsure of the meaning of your words make sure that you are using a dictionary before writing your sentence so that your sentences make sense.
Designing Your Words
Using a variety of fonts on either a pages document or in your book design each of your words in a creative way.
Word Snake
Create a word snake using your words, remember that each word must connect with another by using the same letter.
Words Within Words
Using the letters from you word try and make as many smaller words as you can, you can only use each of your letters once in your new words.
Syllables BreakDown
Break each of your words up into their syllables. Eg. animal = an / i / mal
